My partner has been longing and craving for a corner-shop style burger for quite some time now. So to satisfy his craving, we went and got a 'corner-shop style' burger after church in Northmead.

It's a fish and chips / burger joint for locals in Northmead on Windsor Road. This place is immensely popular and decently priced. As we came for burgers, we resisted the seafood options AND the chips (as we both had sore throats). My partner chose the 'burger with the lot' ($6.50) whereas I opted for the normal burger ($4) with cheese (30c). So yes - it was a good cheap lunch :)

My partner's burger with the lot came with beef, bacon, onion, lettuce, tomato beetroot, egg, cheese and sauce. He thought it was awesome. Very tasty and slightly juicy and messy.

Burger with the lot - $6.50

My plain burger was simply beef pattie, lettuce, onion and cheese. My cheese was more melty than my partner's burger - making it much more awesome (I think). It was really quite yum. The beef pattie was a little bit on the thin side - and slightly slightly burnt. But it still had a beefy, meaty taste to it. I would, however, have liked perhaps twice the portion of beef (maybe I'm a bit greedy :P). But on the whole, it was a good burger. Wouldn't say a healthy burger. Probably not even a gourmet burger. But yum and delicious and casual and really, bought those corner-store memories back to us.

Plain burger (with cheese) - $4 + $0.30

Overall, the burger was cooked well and was tasty. Not much place to eat it though - we ended up gobbling it up outside the store on the street LOL
