Pho Pasteur - Parramatta

There are two Pho Pasteurs in Parramatta. One in Westfield, one just outside. We always used to go to the one outside - until they decided to take over and own the one inside as well. So this Sunday lunch, after church, our usually large crowd rocked up to Pho Pasteur looking for some yummy viet food.

My partner poured all over the incredibly large menu. Pho? Fried rice? Rice with grilled pork? He was sooooo lost and sooooo confused. BUT - at the end of the day, I think we just ordered our usuals.

The usual for my partner was the Special beef (large - $11). This was a yummy flat rice noodles with raw beef, beef balls, beef tripe, beef tendon... beef everything really. And Pho came with its usual condiments - the been sprouts, mint, lemon and chilli. My 'super hungry' partner ended up only kind of demolishing it. I don't think he finished it LOL

My usual is the beef ball beef tripe pho (regular - $10). I always get the look of surprise from waiters - 'no raw beef?!?!?!?'. Yes that's right. I don't like the raw beef. Give me lotsa lotsa beef ball and beef tripe instead :) The noodle soup was good. Tasty. The beef balls were tender and chewy and yum and the beef tripe was good but ... well - I would have liked a bit more. Overall, it was a good yummy lunch when I'm feeling super super hungry and unlike my partner - I finished all mine :)

Pho dac biet is my favourite. I'm always hoping I've scored extra tendon :)

Hahaha
I don't know why - they are always stingy on the tendons compared to the meat LOL
